Take A Refreshing Drink Whenever You Want
, 02 12th, 2009
Avoid feeling like you are dying of thirst while you’re on the move. Be it on a bike or of foot traversing a difficult trail, you need a hydration pack that will give you easy access to water. Hydration packs have a built-in hydration system which is essentially a specialized bag of water.
These packs have a drinking tube which is actually a very long straw connected to the bag. This tube allows a hiker or biker to drink water just by turning his head to one side and taking a sip through the straw. It prevents the hassles of having to stop just to get a water bottle from a hard-to-reach external bag pocket or having to take off the bag to dig inside.
Easy To Assemble & Waterproof

Have fun camping without having to spend a lot on your gear. A Big Country tent is a durable and affordable piece of outdoor equipment. It has heated seam tape covering the stitches for water proofing and fiberglass poles that are very easy to assemble.
This wonderful tent comes in two types. A three-season tent with lighter and cooler materials is designed for warm camping trips. Its ventilation system is much cooler due to the ample mesh materials that allow air to pass through easily inside. The four-season tents are for high altitude climbing trips. Here, the materials are thicker and much stronger to enable it to withstand high altitude winds and extreme temperatures.

Fishing, along with other outdoor activities, is a perfect opportunity to reestablish a connection to nature. For families, it can also be a fun and exciting bonding activity especially for the kids trying it for the first time. Just make sure you have the proper equipment for the activity.
The basic equipment is the fishing rod. In buying fly fishing rods though, you have to consider certain factors such as its length, flexibility and bend. For these factors will most probably determine whether you’ll have a fruitful catch or not. Keep in mind that a bountiful catch can be best motivation to your children to try fishing again, so be sure to make the right choice when making a purchase.
Everyone Enjoys Fireside Stories
, 01 19th, 2009
Gathering around the bonfire while exchanging fantastic stories about the whole day of hiking is probably one of the best things one can experience in camping. The worst part though, is having to sleep uncomfortably in the dark and cold woods. The campfire might be a good source of warmth but because it can’t be kept live through the night, it is best to get the protection from a wind chill from something else, say, a sleeping bag.
A sleeping bag is basically a blanket with a certain extent of thickness and can be closed using the zipper in either one or both of its sides. It functions as a portable bed practically used outdoors. From the time of its first use, the sleeping bags have undergone different transformation in both features and materials used. Grizzly sleeping bags for example employ the use of better in quality sleeping pads and thermal insulation to provide unmatched warmth and comfort to campers using it.

Make the most out of your day off from work. Nothing would be greater than leaving your worries at home and heading off to a peaceful day of fishing to relax and unwind. Pack your fly fishing reels and other fishing gear, call up a friend and go fly fishing somewhere nice.
Aim for the fish that has always gotten away. Bring along good quality fly fishing reels to have the most fun out of your adventure. For a family fishing getaway, the three rod/reel spin combo family pack will be the best thing you can get. It includes three 6-foot rod and reel combos that are pre-spooled with 100 yards of monofilament line. You also get a how-to-fish booklet that the kids would surely enjoy learning from.
Camping Backpacks

Before heading out to any camping trip, make sure to bring the right gear for your weekend adventure. Camping backpacks are specially designed to carry loads of camping gears with less strain on your back. Modern day backpacks are made with super light weight materials and yet are very strong. These backpacks are so comfortable; you will sometimes forget you’re carrying something on your back.
Before buying a pack, it is important to know the number of days you’ll be gone. A forty-liter-capacity pack is good for a weekend hiking trip. If you’re planning a longer trip, a sixty-liter-capacity can accommodate your gear for a week long expedition. Make sure to get a pack with good hip belt support. This channels the weight of the burden to your hip and lessens the strain on your back.

Camping is a wonderful way to bond as a family. Kids will definitely enjoy camping. You don’t have to go into the woods to camp. You can even enjoy your own little camping adventure right in your backyard.
All it takes is a High Peak Dome Tent that is easy to set up. This is perfect for novice campers. Kids will enjoy sleeping in a tent. To make it more memorable, build a bonfire. If that isn’t possible, bring along some food and have a picnic outdoors.
Waterproof backpack

If you are interested in hiking or in any outdoor sport for that matter, you must have the right gear and equipment. Hikers recommend investing in a good, sturdy waterproof backpack. You’ll never know when the weather will change or when you might accidentally slip and fall in a puddle of water.
A waterproof bag will keep your things clean and dry. Find one that is spacious enough for all your hiking paraphernalia. I suggest getting a pair of waterproof hiking boots too.
Get Rid Of Your Guns Guys
, 10 28th, 2008
Many men love hunting and even more men love the thrill of an occasional firearm-shooting session. Those men may like to know that crossbows are just as accurate as guns and have a longer firing range than any other bow. Crossbows have a bow attached to a stock, allowing them to remain loaded when not in use.
Crossbows are also easy to operate. Even those with little upper body strength can effectively pull the classic bow. One disadvantage of a crossbow is that it takes longer to load. But, it’s extended range explains its vast appeal.
Pack Light

I always hated long hikes because I had to hulk around my big old-fashioned camping pack. At the time I didn’t know there was anything else more efficient available. I couldn’t get by without my water bottles, snacks, binoculars, and headlamp, but I hated the hefting my bulky pack on steep mountain trails.
Recently a friend told me about new compact day packs. I was amazed to find these packs had enough space for all the things I needed to bring hiking with me. I bought one and have been hiking almost every weekend.
